About the project
A Diwali wish you can open
The Diwali Post is a small greeting site for people who want to send something more personal than a forwarded picture.
What the recipient sees
The name of the sender appears on the greeting. Tap Light the Diya to see the lamp light up and open the blessing. If you leave the page visible, the diya lights after a few seconds. The greeting includes an original soundtrack called A Sky of Lamps.
If the browser waits for a tap before playing sound, touch the page or use Sound. The same button pauses and resumes the music. The animation follows your device’s reduced-motion preference.
Send one with your name
- Open the greeting and light the diya.
- In Send your wish, enter the name you want your recipient to see.
- Tap Share on WhatsApp, choose a recipient there, and send the prepared message.
The name is part of the link. Anyone you send that link to can see it, and recipients can forward the same link. A first name or nickname works well.
Find words for the occasion
Browse the greeting library for messages you can make your own, or read our guide to celebrating Diwali at home. See the privacy page for how the link and site services handle information.
